Creating a PollDaddy Quiz
PollDaddy Quizzes
You can make quizzes with PollDaddy. They are very simple to make, and your first quiz can be done in as little as 10 or 15 minutes. The following paragraphs show a step by step process for registering with PollDaddy, and producing a quiz for a post.
Step 1: Add a poll to a Post
Adding a quiz to a post with PollDaddy is like adding a poll to a post. From the post editor screen, you press the button to add a poll. When the PollDaddy dialog appears, go to the next step.
Step 2: Go to PollDaddy Dashboard
Clicking the PollDaddy Dashboard link will take you to the PollDaddy website.
Step 3: Register with PollDaddy
If you have not previously registered with PollDaddy, you will be asked to do so. This is a necessary part of the process. Registering signs you up as a PollDaddy user. Once you become a user, you will have access to PollDaddy’s dashboard, and you will be able to create polls, quizzes, surveys, and ratings. Once users have participated, you can login at anytime to see the results.
The next few screens all deal with registering with PollDaddy. You can select the free option, or pay a $39.00 a year subscription price for the premium version. It is not obvious how to register to use the free version. You must move the slider to the left until the display reads Free. You then press continue to move through the remaining steps of the registration process. Once you have registered, you are finally viewing the PollDaddy dashboard.
Step 4: Create a Quiz
From the PollDaddy Dashboard, you can create:
- Surveys
- Polls
- Quizzes
- Ratings
You can also click links to see the results of any polls, surveys, quizzes, or ratings you have previously created, and your users have participated in.
Today we will make a quiz, so click the Create New button, and select Quiz from the drop down. This will send you to the Edit Quiz page, and from there you will start the process of creating the quiz.
Step 5: Edit Quiz
The edit quiz page leads you through a 4 step process for creating a quiz and viewing quiz results:
- Quiz Settings
- Question Editor
- Quiz Style
- Collect Responses
When the page first shows, you are in the first step of choosing quiz settings.
On this page, you should do the following:

- Do not show any result to the participants.
- In the participant results section, you can also choose the passing score for a quiz (Note: pass score is settable only in 5% increments).
- In the Custom Messages section, you can set messages to display when the test starts, and completes (note: complete option only available on upgrade account) . You can also choose to display a progress bar, and a back button.
- At the bottom of the page are options you can set for the quiz. Some notable ones are:

- Allow multiple responses vs. a single response per computer
- Restrictions on who can take the quiz
When you are done making your selections, click Save Settings and you will move to the next step.
Step 6: Generating Questions with the Question Editor
